some guy showed up out of nowhere one night like two weeks ago trying to save me and my sister from getting mugged
dressed head to toe in tight red clothes
then ran off as quickly as he showed up

OK no idea why Togusa would think that is me, I definitely wouldn't put together a full red outfit.

Anyway was he successful though or...

the mugger had a knife pointed at her
so dad's started picking us up or sending someone to come pick us up after school instead of us just taking the bus home

but yeah he's definitely a him
he's also definitely someone on retrospec bc i remember knowing him before as other-me
and i wouldn't trust him further than i can throw him
which btw isn't very far with the one arm

we were all in costume it's not like i could tell who anyone actually was
all i know is we knew each other
or at least he knew me and some other person i apparently knew named natasha

i don't think this guy remembers any of that
he just looked confused when i asked him about it

all of us on that special ops team anyway
they made comics and newsreels about it and everything

Okay, you'd mentioned the comic books before. These are, what, really of? The guy you're remembering? Not just propaganda fictionalized accounts?

it's a little bit both real and propaganda as far as i can tell
i don't remember anything happening that i saw in the comics
and everyone acts stupid or gets drawn really badly
but the characters are definitely real
those are me and my teammates and the bad guys we used to fight

That I did read already. I'm still not convinced either. It seems like an elaborate prank. I just wanted to confirm that was indeed what you were referring to.
