[ He thought that when he snuck out of the house to get help, he had dodged any prying eyes. He certainly hadn't noticed any suspicious glances. But apparently there's been some gossip anyway. ]

[ if there was one thing eren hated doing, it was saying "i'm sorry". not because of his heart of stone, everyone knew that eren was more emotionally directed than anything. it was because sorry didn't change anything, sorry didn't make people feel better, and pity was less than the last thing some people needed. sorry felt like something you'd use to clog up empty space. ]

[ Spoken like a true military man. Of course. James knows he's right, and he feels ashamed for ever saying otherwise. He knows that under normal circumstances, he would be saying the same thing too. He's certainly been doing so nonstop ever since he joined the app.

But these aren't normal circumstances, and right now the loss of his arm has him feeling completely powerless. ]

What's the point in fighting when you know there's no chance of winning

[ it’s something he can’t quite explain— but it’s the strongest sense of self he’s ever gotten when faced with questions like these. it bubbles up inside him, and it gives him power. he feels like he can do anything. he can lose an arm, and a leg, and he could still point up to the sky and say i’m not stopping here. ]

that hq is completely rigged but there’s no such thing as a perfect defense

It's getting inside that's the hard part
I know my way around the inside once I'm in it's just getting through the doors that's like impossible

even if you do get in all the rooms are locked
i took titan with me in there last month for days and he didn't pick up a thing

But I spent all of August running around their basement
I know basically all the rooms and equipment down there

I have photos of a bunch of the basement rooms and crap but nothing more than that
