we need to better understand what we’re facing if we want to safely investigate. you wouldn’t want to bring a knife to a gunfight.

it would also validate the Akira theory more to authorities that we’ll want to involve.

i also need another nail to this coffin before i can seriously investigate him. he’s my boyfriend’s brother and i like him, too.

this is the dumbest idea i've ever heard in my life

just break into his house and look for evidence when he's not there like a normal person

they’ll kill whether they feel threatened or not. it’s just a matter of how advantageous it is to them. isn’t that what happened to you? how were they protecting themselves by killing you? incarcerated, behind bars, with a very small chance at catching them. it was just an easy way to force the police to close the case and limit resources to Retrospec individuals. we can see the killer has an inflated ego, but we need to know what we’re dealing with, James. or else we’ll walk around blind and drop dead the next second.

the case hasn’t made progress since that post and it could have easily gone cold in time. as much as i also agree that this is a desperate measure, we’re in desperate times.

and i turned myself in that last time
if you sneak around and do it right you don't get caught
what you're planning is literally begging for the killer's attention

i’m a bit surprised that you’re this confident in breaking in without getting caught yet i’m also not.

if the card does threaten them, then they’ll keep the item in their home to use and keep it close. if we don’t, then they’ll hide it somewhere and you might break in for nothing, then the killer can continue to disguise murders as natural deaths. we’re taking pretty big risks whether we do this or not.
