In the early hours of November 15th, the self-confessed murderer of Zee Carlisle, James Buchanan Barnes, was found dead. Although the death is still under investigation, early reports claim that it was likely a suicide.

Barnes served two months of his 15 year long sentence for murder, first degree attempted murder, and aggravated assault. His family as well as the prison have declined to comment.


[ If anyone chooses to dig deeper, though, searching online for any variation of "recolle prison suicide" will bring up a poorly designed forum for prison guards that at first glance looks like a defunct relic from 2004, but is actually quite active. The newest thread, posted on the 15th, features a post from an anonymous guard at a Recolle prison who was on shift when an unnamed suicide took place.

expectations for reform are high.

well it doesn't really matter anyway.

i can't do this anymore. you can decide if you agree or
like what i did or not, but what's done is
done. zee is gone. it was me. i was getting tired of the runaround.
call it what you will, but some will see it as retribution.
all that matters now is that retrospec knows what i'm capable of.
that they gave me--no, gave us the tools for their fall. think on it.
