[ he is here at the gym in his workout clothes! by which i mean his usual outfit (sans mask), and he is currently scrutinizing the equipment, pulling down on the bars of some of those pulldown machine thingies, checking what the weights go up to...that kind of thing! ]

[ whoa... will weighs like four pounds soaking wet, so watching someone getting ready to do Weights is very impressive to him. he's in his own canon outfit, peering at him from across the room... and curiously looking at the arm, though not with any disgust or anything like that. he seems genuinely inquisitive. ]

I bet you're pretty strong, huh.

[frostythehitman]

[ looks over. oh hi will! snazzy lil getup you got there. ]

...depending on what you consider to be strong, sure. I can hold my own.

[eldans]

[ he is a fancy little lad. ]

Well, there's a lot of ways to be strong... but I think you could probably lift me over your head without any problem.

[ a laugh. or rather, a giggle, because his laugh is tiny and squeaky. ]

My friend Hulkenberg used to make me run laps until I fell over.

[ laughs a little ]

Running laps is a good place to start for just about anything. Gotta start with the basics and build up a good foundation.

[eldans]

That's what she told me! I'm not so bad at fighting. I don't have it with me, but I use a sword at home.

[frostythehitman]

A sword, huh? What kind?

[eldans]

[ a ]

A... regular one? [ a beat. ] I can use it to fly, though. Well, levitate.

[frostythehitman]

[ you know what will you're so valid. it's not like bucky knows any swords either. ]

It lets you levitate, but not fly? So you're just...stationary in the air?

[eldans]

Not exactly. I can't go very high, but I can... surf. I can use it to surf. I wish I could show you, it's really very fun.

[frostythehitman]

Oh, you mean you ride on it? Nice.

How fast can you go on it?

[eldans]

Yeah! Pretty fast. I can get across a pretty big town in a couple of minutes if I don't accidentally run into anybody.

Alright, not bad.

What do you need to zip all around town with a sword for in the first place, then?

[eldans]

All sorts of things. Usually people want me to deliver things and I don't mind doing it.

[ a little shrug. ]

... Mostly I just do it because it's fun.

[frostythehitman]

[ nods because this makes perfect sense to him. why wouldn't you fly around on a sword for fun? ]

And yet, you still run laps even though you could just zip around on your sword instead.

[eldans]

Well, you said it's a good foundation! And you're right.

I have to be strong in body and mind. I can't protect anybody if my arms are noodles.

Well, wielding a sword's a good place to start to bulk them up. As long as you don't use the levitation as a cheat to make it easier to hold up.

[eldans]

[ his super power is really that he's just a very genuine goober.

he laughs again at that, and wanders into the gym further to poke around at the equipment. ]

I'll keep that in mind. [ hehe. ] Did you like your team okay?

[ watches will examine the equipment... ]

They seem alright so far. Looks like we've got a lot of animals in our lounge, though.

What about you? Lime, right?

[eldans]

[ he will pick up a dumbbell! it doesn't seem to be that heavy for him, at least. ]

Mmhm. I like them. I think... well, I think a lot of them could use encouragement. [ will said everybody in lime is sad. ] I think I heard a little about a dog in your lounge? Or maybe that was just Makima's dog...

[ watching will's form with this dumbbell... ]

No, we have a dog. Named Marmalade. And a bird.

They could use encouragement for what?

[eldans]

[ he has never used one of these in his life ]

Marmalade's a nice name. [ a beat. ] Oh, just in general. I think a lot of my teammates are people who think they're alone in everything they do. But they're not.

[frostythehitman]

Hmm. [ well. he can't debate that too much bc half the time that also describes him.

He steps forward and copies Will's position holding the dumbbell, gesturing to his arm as an example. ]

You want to keep the wrist straight, parallel with the rest of your arm. That way you're not straining the finer muscles in the wrist and hand.

[ me, lisa, sweating bc i have no idea if any of this is actually valid advice. let's pretend that it is! ]

[ i also have no idea, pretending it is! ]

Oh. That makes sense, thank you. We don't really have this sort of thing in Euchronia. [ he glances at bucky's arm, curious... and then follows instructions, carefully curling his arm inward. ]

Yeah, there you go.

You don't have weights?

[ he can understand there not being more specific types of equipment, but "heavy thing with grippable bar" sounds so basic that it not existing is wild to him. ]
